Southern Connecticut State University Athletics
The Southern Connecticut State University Owls have captured nine NCAA team titles and sixty-seven NCAA individual titles. The Owls compete in the Northeast 10 conference. Sports include field hockey, football, gymnastics, baseball, volleyball, and softball. Men’s and women’s teams include cross country, soccer, basketball, swimming, and track. SCSU is home to Jess Dow Field for football and track, with a seating capacity of 6,000. Other facilities include James Moor Fieldhouse for indoor sports (seating capacity of 2,800), the Ballpark at SCSU, and the Hutchinson Natatorium.
Southern Connecticut State University is an NCAA Division II School. Teams compete in the Northeast 10 Conference. Men’s sports include cross country, football, soccer, basketball, swimming, track & field, and baseball. Women’s sports include softball, lacrosse, field hockey, basketball, swimming, gymnastics, track & field, cross country, soccer, and volleyball. The team nick-name is the Owls.
